Show up when someone in Coventry searches for what you actually sell
Three quarters of local searches never reach a website – they end in the map pack. Local SEO is the work that puts you in those three results, and builds the pages that catch everyone who scrolls past them.
Tell us the trading address and the services you want to be found for. We will check where you currently rank across Coventry.
We work from Electric Wharf, not a call centre
Thirty days notice, no twelve-month tie-in
One page a month, in plain English
The person who audits your site does the work
Local search is a different algorithm, not a smaller one
Ordinary organic results are ranked mostly on relevance and authority. The map pack adds two things you cannot buy your way past: how close the searcher is to you, and how consistent and complete your business information is across the web. A site that ranks fifth organically can own the map pack, and a site that ranks first organically can be invisible in it.
That is why local work is its own discipline. The Google Business Profile has to be built properly and kept alive. The name, address and phone number have to match everywhere they appear, down to the punctuation. And you need genuine landing pages for the places you serve – not one page with thirty town names pasted into the footer, which Google has recognised and ignored for years.
- Google Business Profile built out and maintained, not just claimed
- Citations audited and corrected so your details match everywhere
- A real page per area, written about that area
- Review generation that does not breach Google’s guidelines
Not sure where you rank across Coventry?
Rankings change street by street. We will run a grid check across the city and show you where you appear, where you do not, and who is taking the calls instead.
A rolling monthly retainer, and nothing to sign for a year
Most agencies ask for twelve months because the first six produce very little. We would rather earn the next month every month. If the work stops paying, you give us thirty days and walk away with every account in your own name.
Rolling monthly retainer
Thirty days notice either way.
No lock-in
No twelve-month minimum, no exit fee.
You own every account
Analytics, Search Console, Business Profile, the site.
One invoice, no surprises
Third-party costs quoted before they are spent.
What local work has done for other Coventry businesses
Map pack positions, calls and direction requests are what matter here. These are the accounts we have permission to discuss, with the reporting window stated.
We had been through two agencies who sent a slide deck every month and never touched the site. These are the first people who actually changed things, and the first who could show us what the change did.

How we deliver Local SEO
Four stages. The first two usually produce the movement, because most local problems are data problems rather than content problems.
Local audit and grid check
We map where you rank across Coventry on a grid rather than from one point, audit the Business Profile against the category and attribute options available to you, and pull every citation we can find.
You receive: A grid map of current rankings and a citation report
Profile and citation work
Categories, services, attributes, opening hours, products and photos completed properly. Then the inconsistent and duplicate citations are corrected or removed one by one.
You receive: A completed profile and a corrected citation set
Local landing pages
A genuine page for each area that matters, written about that area – what you do there, who you have worked with, how you get there. Linked into the site properly rather than orphaned.
You receive: Area pages built and internally linked
Reviews and ongoing signals
A review request process that fits how you already talk to customers, plus posts, Q&A and photo updates that keep the profile active.
You receive: A review process and a monthly profile routine
Why clients pick us for this
The same six reasons apply whichever service you start with. None of them is about being the cheapest quote.
You get a consultant, not an account manager
The person who audits your site is the person who does the work and the person who answers your email. No handover to a junior after the pitch.
Rolling monthly, thirty days notice
No twelve-month contract. If the work stops being worth it, you leave. That keeps the pressure where it belongs - on us.
You keep every account
Analytics, Search Console, Business Profile and the site itself stay in your name. If we part company you lose nothing.
A visible plan, not a retainer of mystery
You see the backlog, what is in progress this month and what was shipped last month. Nothing happens that you cannot point at.
We say no to work that will not pay
If your margin, your market or your site cannot support the spend, we will tell you at the audit stage rather than take the fee.
We know this patch
Coventry, Warwickshire and the wider West Midlands. We know which local directories matter here and which are a waste of an afternoon.
The grid check was the thing that landed it. We thought we ranked well because we always searched from the office. Two miles away we were nowhere, which explained a lot about where our enquiries were coming from.

Local SEO across Coventry and the West Midlands
Every area has its own page with the local picture: who you are competing with there, what people search for, and what it takes to show up.
What you actually get
Every item below is part of the retainer. Nothing here is an upsell you discover three months in.
Grid rank tracking
Rankings checked from a grid of points across the city, not one location, so you see the real picture street by street.
Business Profile management
Categories, services, attributes, products, hours and holiday hours kept correct and complete.
Citation audit and cleanup
Every directory listing found, checked against your real details and corrected or removed.
Local landing pages
A real page per area, written for that area, linked into the site architecture properly.
Review generation
A request process that fits your workflow and stays inside Google’s guidelines. No gating, no incentives.
LocalBusiness schema
Structured data so search engines and AI assistants read your details correctly first time.
Posts, Q&A and photos
The profile kept active, because dormant profiles lose ground to maintained ones.
Monthly reporting
Calls, direction requests, profile views and map positions. One page, plain English.
Who this is for
Local SEO earns its keep when the customer has to be near you, or believes they do.
Trades and home services
Electricians, plumbers, roofers, builders. Almost every enquiry starts as a local search and ends in a phone call from the map pack.
Professional services
Solicitors, accountants, dentists, clinics. People want someone they can get to, and they check reviews before they call.
Shops and venues
Anywhere footfall matters. Direction requests and opening-hours queries are the conversions that count.
Multi-site businesses
Several branches across the West Midlands, each needing its own profile, its own page and its own rankings.
What usually turns out to be wrong
Six issues account for most of the local problems we are called in to look at.
You only check from the office
Rankings vary street by street. Searching from your own premises flatters you and hides the area where you are actually losing work.
Duplicate Business Profiles
An old listing from a previous owner or a mis-typed address splits your signals and can suppress the real one entirely.
Inconsistent details
An old phone number on twenty directories, or Road on one and Rd on another, quietly undermines every other thing you do.
Doorway pages
Thirty near-identical town pages with the place name swapped. Google has discounted these for years and they can drag the whole site.
The wrong primary category
The single highest-leverage field on the profile, and the one most often left on whatever was picked when the listing was first claimed.
Reviews that stopped
A profile with forty reviews, none in the last two years, reads as a business that is winding down - to customers and to Google.
What Local SEO costs in Coventry
Local retainers usually sit between GBP 750 and GBP 1,800 a month. The two things that move the number are how many areas you need to rank in and how much citation cleanup the business has accumulated. A single-location trades business is at the lower end; a four-branch operation across the West Midlands is at the upper end.
- A one-off local audit is a fixed fee and stands alone
- Citation cleanup is quoted before any third-party costs are spent
- Rolling monthly, thirty days notice, no twelve-month minimum
- The Business Profile stays in your name throughout
Local SEO: the questions we get asked
How long does it take to get into the map pack?
If the Business Profile is incomplete and the citations are inconsistent, fixing both often moves things within four to eight weeks, because you are removing friction rather than building authority. Breaking into a competitive three-pack in central Coventry where the incumbents have hundreds of reviews takes longer – six months or more, and it depends heavily on review volume and proximity.
Can you rank us in an area where we have no address?
Not in the map pack, no. The map pack is driven partly by the searcher’s distance from your verified address, and there is no legitimate way around that. What we can do is rank the organic local landing page for that area, which is what catches the people who scroll past the map. Anyone offering you map pack rankings in a town you have no presence in is proposing a fake listing, which gets profiles suspended.
Do we need a separate page for every village?
No, and doing it badly is worse than not doing it. A page earns its place if you can write something genuinely specific about working in that area – jobs you have done, how you cover it, what is different about it. If all you can do is swap the place name, it is a doorway page and it will not help.
What about reviews - can you get them for us?
We set up and run the request process, but the reviews come from your customers, in their own words. We do not write them, buy them or filter out the unhappy ones before they are asked. Review gating breaches Google’s guidelines and risks the profile.
We have two Google listings for the same business. Is that a problem?
Yes, and it is one of the more common ones. Duplicates split your signals and Google may suppress one or both. Getting a duplicate merged or removed is a straightforward process but it takes time and evidence, and it is usually the first thing we deal with because everything else depends on it.
